Welcome to My Kindness Movement

Welcome! This blog is about following my journey to become kinder. The mission is to perform random acts of kindness whenever and wherever I can. I hope you will contribute with comments and suggestions, as well as your own kindness experiences.

Build Someone Up

Day 27

Jesse Jackson once said,

"Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up."

Today I told someone that they are awesome. This person has no insight into how talented and inspiring they are and they need regular help to realise this. As Lao Tsu once said, "kindness in words creates confidence."

I also visited the cinema and handed out the voucher (see yesterday's post). There was only one man in the queue so I went straight to him. He seemed totally confused at first (I think most people would be confused if a random stranger came along and handed them a card with a voucher on it and said, "enjoy this random act of kindness.") I must admit these acts are the most exciting.

Also, today I vowed not to complain all day. I am not usually a complainer but the last couple of days I have complained to my near and dearest. Instead, I spoke positively and decided that complaining does not get you anywhere, action does.
