Welcome to My Kindness Movement

Welcome! This blog is about following my journey to become kinder. The mission is to perform random acts of kindness whenever and wherever I can. I hope you will contribute with comments and suggestions, as well as your own kindness experiences.

Donate Clothes

Day 20

Tonight I cleared out my wardrobe and created a donation pile for the charity shop. I am going to donate the items to Dorothy House. Dorothy House is a well-respected charity providing quality care for those with life threatening conditions. I think it is good to have the practice of one new item bought, one old item donated.

I love this quote from Amelia E Barr,

"Kindness is always fashionable."

I also wanted to share another website that I was told about today called The Literacy Site:
http://theliteracysite.greatergood.com. I have just been clicking. If you visit this site regularly and click on 'click here -it's free' you will be helping to provide books for those in need around the world; it is also free! The idea is that a number of sponsors will display their adverts after you click and the money from this advertising will go to charity partners to provide books for children in need worldwide. You can go one step further and buy from the site and a small amount of money will be donated. This is a totally great way to support young people to get an education around the world. You can even sign up for an email reminder daily to prompt you to click. You can also click for a number of other causes on this site such as hunger, breast cancer, animals and the rain forest.
