Welcome to My Kindness Movement

Welcome! This blog is about following my journey to become kinder. The mission is to perform random acts of kindness whenever and wherever I can. I hope you will contribute with comments and suggestions, as well as your own kindness experiences.

Boost Your Happiness

Performing random acts of kindness is scientifically proven to boost happiness according to an article I read a while back, see here, as well as a number of other things. The infographic on the article demonstrates this well.

I also read a beautiful quote from the Dalai Lama the other day about the key to happiness,

"The key to genuine happiness is in our hands. To think this way is to discover the essential values of kindness, brotherly love and altruism. The more clearly we see the benefits of these values, the more we will seek to reject anything that opposes them, in this way we will be able to bring about inner transformation."

I think what he said is really true. The more I practice random acts of kindness the happier I become as well trying to reject unkindness. However, this is a work in progress and there is much improvement to happen yet.
