Day 89
"The centre of human nature is rooted in ten thousand ordinary acts of kindness that define our days."
Today I looked for every opportunity to be kind as I went about my day and in 'ordinary ways'. Firstly, I was asked to do a favour for a partner agency that I work with, the Big Issue, to present one of their service users with an award for his amazing attitude to selling and his incredibly heroic behaviour in saving two people trapped in the river. This was unexpected as the person who was booked in to do this was called away at the last minute unavoidably. This was absolutely lovely and a privilege to do so. He was given lots of praise and smiles from us all. His fantastic story can be seen here in the Bath Chronicle and his Big Issue profile can be seen here.
I then went on to compliment someone on their dress, praise a fantastic colleague, thanked another colleague, left nice comments on Facebook as well as lots of likes (sorry for those who had this running through their news feed) and I am just about to call a friend I haven't spoken to in a while.
