Bought an item from a charity shop in the souks in Marrakech.
This shop was set up by the mosque opposite to help those with nothing to sell their items and also to volunteer in the shop. It also encourages/helps those that are blind in Marrakech to sell hand-made rugs made out of old clothes. This is brilliant! I could see there were a lot of people begging in the streets today.
I have been learning today how kindness is regarded very highly in the Islamic faith. We met a lovely man called Sam (albeit an excellent business man) who invited us into the charity shop, as he was volunteering today, and he imparted a lot of knowledge onto us. He sold me a beautiful bag and all of the money goes to those that need it; a purchase totally over priced but thankfully that meant an act of kindness as the money went to a good cause.
