Approach Strangers And Make Their Day With A Photo
Week 4
I have spent the last two weeks trying to win a Polaroid camera on Ebay but it has been remarkably challenging and I was outbid every time, it seems Polaroid cameras are becoming popular again. However, I stuck at the bidding and I won one -yay! I planned to buy a Polaroid camera to complete this week's challenging act of kindness. The idea is to take pictures of people in Bath having a good time and hopefully brighten up their day.
I do not usually have a problem approaching people, it is very much a huge part of my job, but I consistently found that I was a little nervous anticipating people's responses when I was giving them a random act of kindness in my first 6 months of this year. Thankfully, the responses were unanimously positive. The challenge for me this week is to approach 15 sets of people to offer to take a photo and brighten up their day. Let's see how I get on.....
Change Of Plan -
Unfortunately, the camera I bought (or film) appears not to be working correctly. I tried taking some pictures today and they did not turn out well at all. I am going to have to do some problem solving and revisit this challenge and do it alongside another one.
Be Nice To Someone You Find Difficult
I am going to make an attempt to be nice to someone I find very difficult. I try to get on with everyone I meet in life but sometimes this isn't always possible. In the past I have found that sometimes no matter how hard I try people just do not meet me half way and aren't that nice to me. With a lot of help from my husband I have been coached to accept these experiences and try and meet people who are kind, inspiring and nice to me. However, I do not think that I should just be kind to people that are nice to me, it's good to be nice to those who you find difficult too.
